Age Restrictions
Ticket sales and admission to all Scala events is limited to persons of 18 years and above. Events for over 16’s are clearly marked in event listings. Scala reserve the right to ask for ID on entry.

Dress Code
Yes, we do have a dress code; wear anything you like, except for Saturday nights when a dress code may apply. Please check our event listings.

Tickets

Tickets for up and coming events at the Scala can be purchased over the counter from the venue. Tickets at the venue will be sold at face value so no booking fee will be added.

The box office is open Monday through to Friday from 10am to 6pm, It is closed at weekends.   Please note that tickets can only be purchased with cash when bought at the venue.

Please note that this is only a Scala box office, we do not sell tickets for events in any other venues.

Disabled access
The Scala is an old building with many access problems. We are aware of these problems and hope to improve the building in the future. The main issue for those with mobility problems is the various levels throughout the building.

All stairs have sturdy handrails. There are 3 steps into reception, 37 steps to the foyer bar, 14 steps to the main arena (54 total), 24 steps from the foyer bar to the toilets (64 total) and a further 23 steps to the balcony bar (87 total). With prior notice we can arrange for our staff to help those people with mobility problems as much as is possible.

Wheelchair Users

There is no lift but we are happy to manually lift wheelchair users. If possible please arrive 5 minutes before doors open and make yourself known to our security staff for advanced entry. The upper side balcony which can be viewed here is a good position to watch live shows. Your view may partially be obstructed by the balcony railings.
