Braindrop celebrates 4 years of Bass, Joy, Fun & Happiness
On Friday 27 November Braindrop takes over Scala for the most anticipated birthday in the clubland calendar. Celebrating 4 years of 'bass, joy, fun and happiness', the most friendly rave in London has pulled out all the stops to make its 35th party the most epic yet.
Infamous residents The McMash Clan are joined by breakbeat legends Aquasky & The Ragga Twins, dubstep goliath N-Type and Ninja Tune's King Cannibal. Freeform hardcore veteran Kevin Energy is pitted against the earth shattering dubstep of 16 Bit and 2009 UK Beatbox Champion Reeps One. And Techno D&B pioneer Cooh is flown in for a rare UK appearance alongside his dubstep alter ego, Balkansky.
Live on stage Braindrop present 2009 World Gurning Champion Gordon Blacklock. Fresh from touring with Aphex Twin, he'll be challenging the crowd to a face pulling competition on the night. Also expect the usual spectacular circus performances including aerial performers and dancers over 3 arenas.
Hyponik return to host the "Rumble in the Jungle" themed room 2.
Braindrop was born in 2005 in the humble yet cosy Purple Turtle. Quickly outgrowing their original venue, ever more legendary bashes have taken place at Scala, Hidden, Jacks and on the Thames. Their "Bass, Joy, Fun, Happiness" ethos has seen the unprecedented growth of club land's friendliest following – and has established Braindrop as one of the UK’s best nights out.
