Metropolis Music Presents
Emmy the Great and Tim Wheeler presents
ZOMBIE CHRISTMAS

NEW SINGLE - ZOMBIE CHRISTMAS + UK DATES

They’re back!

To deck the halls with boughs of holly!

With zombies!

Having released one of last Christmas’s most popular albums Emmy The Great and Tim Wheeler return to mark the festive season with the release of a single - Zombie Christmas.

Zombie Christmas is taken from This Is Christmas, “an album of cheery, cherishable seasonal pop pick-you- ups” (INDEPENDENT), “spunky, Ramonic guitar pop and wistful acoustic balladry” (GUARDIAN) and a much needed antidote to the usual sentimental warblings that clutter the charts around Christmas.

The video clip - “a terrifying short film in 3 acts” - takes its inspiration from such classic zombie movies as Dawn Of The Dead....and Shaun Of The Dead. It’s Christmas Eve and Sleigher (Emmy, Tim and co) are playing a secret gig when they find themselves in the midst of a zombie invasion. Armed with an assortment of customised Christmas decorations they must save Christmas once and for all and kick those zombies back to hell. The video includes some famous faces - Robert Emms (War Horse, Mirror Mirror, Kick Ass 2), David Fynn (Game of Thrones, Pete Vs Life, Life's Too Short) and Bill Milner (X-Men, First Class, Son Of Rambow).

Zombie Christmas will be available digitally from December 17th. This Is Christmas is available on CD and via iTunes now with a very special limited edition vinyl to come.

Emmy and Tim will spread some Xmas cheer around the UK with a clutch of dates too. Tickets are on sale from 9am on FRIDAY NOV 2ND and dates as follows:

THIS IS CHRISTMAS.......
“some of the most enjoyable festive duets since Saint Etienne recruited Tim Burgess” GUARDIAN

“new self-penned songs mixing seasonal sentiments with the kind of pop-punk we associate with Ash” SUNDAY TIMES CULTURE

“A big string-splattered, infectious slice of chintz-pop” TIME OUT

“Revelling in sparkle and schmaltz without trying to shoehorn in some of ‘darkness’ NME
